Matt Graham

About Mr. Graham

Mr. Graham has more than 18 years of experience as a technology specialist and 23 years as a educator.   He began his technology work in Hayward Unified District as a site leader and grant writer while teaching.  In 1998, the school district hired him to coordinate a technology grant program for several schools over two years.  He has been the Rancho Romero Technology Specialist since 2001.

Mr. Graham is a graduate of the University of California, Davis and St. Mary's School of Education. He earned multiple subjects and single subject, English teaching credentials. He received his Masters in Education in 2002, specializing in online learning and completed his Administrator's credential program in 2005. In 2012 he completed his certificate for teaching gifted children. In 2016 he earned his Google Certified Educator Certificate.

He has won awards for both his educational web sites and video work. He received the 1999 ThinkQuest National Platinum award for the best educational site, collaborating with Newbery Award author, Sid Fleischman.  While at Rancho, his broadcast program won the California Multimedia Festival award for best school information video. He designed and directed development of the acclaimed site, Explore Island of the Blue Dolphins.

In 2014, the school staff and SRVEF foundation honored Mr. Graham with the Excellence in Education Award. The same year, technology was one of two signature practices that enabled Rancho Romero to win the Distinguished School Award.

In 2016 our technology signature practice won the California Gold Ribbon School Award.
