We have some important information and opportunities to bring to your attention. We encourage you to participate wherever possible, as your voice and insight as partners are valued and appreciated.


Participation on an SRVUSD Committee

The San Ramon Valley Unified School District is seeking members to apply to be part of a new steering committee structure that will help guide the District in achieving the goals set forth in the new SRVUSD Strategic Plan


The steering committees will be composed of employees, students, parents/caregivers, administrators, and community members. We welcome parents/caregivers and community members to apply to participate on one of the four District steering committees listed below, each of which is aligned with an area of the District’s Strategic Plan. Please just fill out the application below for the committee you are interested in serving on! We will reach out to students and employees in a separate message.


We are looking for dedicated individuals who are committed to meeting four times during the year and who are willing to take on additional responsibilities, including participating in one or more subcommittees, and facilitating focus groups to help inform the process.  More information on each steering committee can be found in each Steering Committee Application. Steering committee applications are due no later than October 5th:



If the steering committee commitment is more than you seek, there will be other opportunities to participate by joining one of our subcommittees. More information about those committees will be sent in the coming weeks.

Town Hall: Opportunity for inquiries and input

Responses to the prompt can be submitted in advance so that Dr. Malloy and staff are sure to address all input.  Follow-up questions, based on staff responses to the original prompts, will be taken live during the Town Hall meetings.

Coming Soon: Who to contact when you need help

As part of our Strategic Directions work to build a Culture of Responsiveness, we are putting together a contact information page and clear pathway to be sure that all of our families/caregivers know who to contact for assistance with inquiries and concerns having to do with the school sites or the District. Please stay tuned for more information in an upcoming communication!


Covid testing update 

The SRVUSD continues to provide and improve access to testing to support our families and community as we fulfill local health requirements.



Per county health orders, all volunteers who will be on our school sites or interacting with students in any way (yard duty, field trips, classroom volunteers, carpooling to sporting competitions, etc.) will need to provide proof of vaccination or undergo regular testing.


Be a Mentor, the District’s online Volunteer Management System, has contacted everyone who is currently registered in their system to advise them of this requirement. All new volunteers will be required to provide this information when they register with Be a Mentor.

Consent Form for SRVUSD rapid testing of close contacts:

The SRVUSD is prepared to begin rapid testing at our school sites for individuals who have been identified as close contacts. SRVUSD families need to create accounts and register their children. Tests can only be administered to those students who have given prior permission.


In order to deploy qualified personnel to administer the tests, every family must create an account authorizing the vendor to conduct the test and provide the result. If you have already tested at an SRVUSD location this school year —   including SRVUSD testing sites at the Education Center (699 Old Orchard Drive in Danville) or at our high schools (where athletes and coaches have been undergoing testing) — please log in to your existing Global Virus Pass (GVP) account to approve the latest universal consent documentation which will act as one-time authorization for your student to participate in rapid Covid testing through the end of the school year.


Once a critical mass of our families has approved the universal consent documentation, our Covid testing partner will begin to conduct the rapid testing for close contacts at our school sites. Use of rapid testing allows students who have been identified as close contacts to proceed more quickly with the established protocols associated with Covid exposure, thereby potentially missing less school because of the need to await test results.


Surveillance Testing:

We will receive support from the state for surveillance testing. We expect to finalize logistics on this testing soon and will share more information as soon as possible.
