Happy St. Patrick’s Day Kindergarten Families! Our phonological awareness story this week was Clever Tom and the Leprechaun by Linda Shute. Many of our classroom activities were tied to the story and the holiday. During centers we made pots of gold and wrote about what we would do with our gold. We made leprechaun scopes which we used today while searching for those mischievous little guys. We made leprechauns and wrote about when we feel lucky. The children wrote a how to catch a leprechaun story and worked together with their table groups to make a leprechaun trap. Unfortunately we were unable to catch a leprechaun. In math we finished up Module 4 and will begin Module 5 on Monday. On Wednesday, Ashley Day (Toby’s mom) presented Harvest of the Month. The children tasted carrots, carrot, juice, and carrot cake muffins.
