Inclusivity & Diversity
What is "diversity" & "inclusivity"? And what might we do to support this at Rancho? We asked these questions and more during the 2013-2014 school year. Each Rancho student and family brings a host of life experiences and dispositions that enhance our school community, and we want to explore how might we learn about, celebrate, and encourage all that enriches our children's school experiences. We are now busy putting a plan together, along with developing a committee and formal learning and events program that will leverage and enhance opportunities for overlap in the character, anti-bullying, ability awareness, and culturally responsive teaching and learning events and initiatives that are already in place at Rancho. We are excited to move ahead with our plans for the upcoming school year! We hope you'll join us or reach out to Carolyn directly at email@example.com
We know that starting a new school, either at the beginning of, or during the year can be daunting and our New Families Committee is here to help make things a little easier! We’re eager for you to have a smooth and positive transition into our Rancho Romero Elementary School community and have lots of information that will help you. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

Odyssey Of The Mind
Is your child an out of the box thinker, driven by curiosity?
Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. Team members apply their creativity to solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics. They then bring their solutions to competition on the local, state, and World level. Thousands of teams from throughout the U.S. and more than 25 other countries participate in the program. Please contact Sarah Woerner for more details: firstname.lastname@example.org
Sister School Program
The Sister School philanthropic program is a district-wide PTA-sponsored program benefitting the students of the San Ramon Valley Unified School District (SRVUSD) by fostering civic responsibility, enhancing community engagement, promoting volunteerism, and by teaching the joy of helping others in need. Rancho partners with Coronado Elementary School in Richmond, CA. We are looking for student and parent volunteers interested in participating in our philanthropic activities to support Coronado. The time commitment is low but the reward is high. Several volunteer opportunities will occur throughout the year. Sign up for as many as fits your or your child's schedule. Please contact email@example.com for more details.
