Room 23 News

This was a busy week in Kindergarten!

We had fun celebrating our Z-A countdown with mustaches, lollipops, kickball, jeans, and ice cream!

Be sure to wear a hat on Monday for H!

Today we performed The Little Red Hen for our buddy class! It was good to practice with an audience! We look forward to seeing everyone for our big show on Tuesday, 5/23, at 10:30!

It was wonderful to see so many families at Open House on Thursday night, thank you for coming out to celebrate the year!

Our practice lunch in the cafeteria was a big success! Everyone enjoyed seeing what the multi-use room looks like when it is set up for lunch, and many of our students experienced walking through the lunch line and choosing their own food.

Happy Friday!

It's hard to believe that we're down to the last few weeks of school!

This week we had tons of fun with our Z-A countdown! The wedding of Q and U was a huge success, and we've all vowed to support them in spelling beautiful words together! Today was New Name day!

Open House: Rancho's Open House will be Thursday, May 18th from 6-7:00p.m. This is a celebratory time for children to show their families their classrooms, and get a sneak peak at first grade! The whole school will be open!

The "Little Red Hen" is fast approaching! Please see the notes below for suggested clothing for each character. I will provide the main costume for each animal!

Hens: Wear a dress or leggings, I will provide a red apron, and bandanna for each hen's hair.

Chicks: Wear jeans, or leggings. I will provide yellow feathery shirts, and headbands, and yellow face paint for beaks. The yellow shirts are long, so long pants work well.

Foxes: I will provide brown shirts and "ears" on headbands, and nose/whisker face paint. Foxes can wear what they like for pants, shorts, or a dress.

Cows: I will provide white and black cow shirts, and "ears" on headbands. Cows can wear jeans or leggings.

Cats: I will provide black shirts, and "ears" on headbands, and nose/whisker face paint.. Cats can wear jeans, or leggings.

Piggies: I will provide pink shirts, and "ears" on headbands. One piggy has her own pig nose. Piggies can choose what they'd like to wear for pants, shorts, or a dress.

Our play will be on Tuesday, May 23, at 10:30, in our classroom. We will have a treat reception immediately following the play.
