About Rancho Registration

Reading Intervention

The Rancho Romero Reading Intervention Program is located in room 106 near the library in the central courtyard. Mrs.Adelson is on campus Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. She is always available at cadelso@srvusd.net. Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Deeman are part of the reading team as well.

The reading intervention program is the longest lived parent funded program in the district. It provides supplemental early reading instruction to students as they acquire the essential knowledge and skills necessary for their grade level.This program is designed to bring children to grade level performance and then release them back into the classroom.

In the primary grades we use Leveled Literacy Intervention System which provides instruction in reading, writing and phonics/word study.

Comprehension skills are the main focus for the upper grade students. Phonics skills are also assessed and pertinent instruction is given to meet the students individual needs.
