About Us

PTA Mission & Purpose

The mission of the Rancho PTA is to positively impact the lives of all children and families. While the school staff prioritizes academics, the RREF (Rancho Romero Education Fund) raises money, and the SSC (School Site Council) makes recommendations for how funds are spent, the PTA partners with the school, RREF, and SSC to enhance the sense of community at Rancho.

The purpose of the Rancho PTA is to:

  • Promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, places of worship, and throughout the community

  • Raise the standards of home life

  • Advocate for laws that further the education, physical and mental health, welfare, and safety of children and youth

  • Promote the collaboration and engagement of families and educators in the education of children and youth

  • Engage the public in united efforts to secure the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social well-being of all children and youth

  • Advocate for fiscal responsibility regarding public tax dollars in public education funding

PTA Membership

Rancho's PTA is one "unit" within the San Ramon Valley Council of PTAs (the group of all of the PTAs  in the SRVUSD school district) which is part of a larger PTA group for the County called the 32nd District PTA, the state of California PTA called "CAPTA", and the National PTA.

When you purchase a "PTA Family Membership", you commit $40 for the year. This supports the events, initiatives, and advocacy work being done at the school, within the SRVUSD district through the SRV Council of PTAs, and beyond. With your membership, you enjoy free admission to all of the PTA-sponsored events including family fun nights, parent education, socials, the international festival and more. You also enjoy these benefits when using your PTA membership card at local businesses.
